A Delicious Combination: Strawberry Whip Cream Jello DessertIf you've never tried it, then you are missing out on a delicious treat. That is as long as you like whipped cream and strawberry jello. Combined, these 2 tasty desserts make a wonderful, creamy treat. If you like jello and whipped cream, then you will probably love this dessert! Heavy whipped cream will work best for this because it is stiffer and firmer. Forget the fake, non-dairy whipped toppings unless you can not have dairy products. And don't expect this to turn out well with one of those non-dairy whipped toppings.
The key to making this successfully is timing. You want to blend the jello and whipped cream together at just the right time. First, make the strawberry jello following the normal package directions. Put the jello in the refrigerator to cool down and begin to set up. Next, whip up some heavy whipping cream in a metal bowl. After whipping the cream, put it in the refrigerator to keep it cold and firm. Then, while the jello is starting to set up (but is not totally firm yet), take the jello and blend it into the cold whipped cream using an electric mixer. You don't want the jello to be too warm, or else it will tend to "melt" the whipped cream and cause it to get runny. If the jello is set up too much and too firm, then it will not want to blend smoothly together with the whipped cream, and you will have gelatin chunks mixed throughout the cream. After blending together thoroughly, put the bowl back in the fridge as soon as possible to help the strawberry whip cream jello dessert to set up firm. You want to serve this when it is completely chilled. Some people like to put cut up strawberries into the mixture. Depends on your personal tastes, but if you choose to put in chopped up strawberries, try to make sure that they are cold and don't add too much liquid into the mix or else your jello may not set up firm. If you prefer a dessert with a smoother texture & no chunks in it, then forego the cut strawberries and just blend the jello and whip cream together. It is fairly common for some of the gelatin to separate on the bottom into a separate layer. If you do everything right, then the layer will be minimal. If all goes well, then you will get a delicious combination that is better than either dessert alone. This strawberry whip cream jello dessert is really delicious!
