People who like the taste of peanut butter and chocolate individually, usually REALLY like the combination of the two flavors!  It's a case where 1 + 1 = more than just the sum of the 2.  The combination of these great tastes added together makes peanut butter and chocolate bars a favorite candy of many people.  Reese's peanut butter cups are one of the most famous brands of these tasty treats.

Dove also makes a peanut butter chocolate candy.  Peanut M&M's also combine the taste of peanuts and chocolate.  Snickers is another candy bar that combines the tastes of chocolate and peanuts (along with other flavors).  There are quite a few candy bars that mix these flavors together.  Not only are the store bought versions popular, but many people also enjoy making their own peanut butter and chocolate bars at home. 

One simple recipe involves mixing 1 cup peanut butter (room temperature) to 1 cup softened butter.  Blend this with 1 - 2 cups powdered sugar (depending on desired sweetness) and 2 cups crushed graham crackers.  All this is then blended together and pressed into the bottom of a baking pan.  Separately, chocolate chips are melted in the microwave (blend them with a little melted butter or softened peanut butter if desired), and the melted chocolate is then poured over the top of the peanut butter layer.  Let cool in the fridge long enough to harden (approx. 1-2 hours), and then cut out and enjoy some delicious homemade peanut butter and chocolate bars!  If you like dark chocolate, then you can also add melt some high cocoa chocolate along with the chocolate chips.  The Lindt 90% cocoa dark chocolate bar is exceptionally good and can be used to adjust the intensity of the chocolate flavor that complements the peanut butter.
